Creating a Safe Space

Säker (pronounced SAY-ker) means “safe” in Swedish. Beginning to sort through a loved one’s belongings, or even your own belongings, can feel scary and overwhelming. I am here to hold a safe space for you in this process.

I have been through my own journey of loss and legacy preservation. I longed for someone to help me through the process as grief and bereavement can cloud your judgement and leave you paralyzed. I started this company to bring that empathy and efficiency to others.

Meet the Founder

After twenty years of caring for patients as a dentist, Claire Tyler believed she had found her life’s work. But life has a way of challenging your carefully laid plans.

When Claire lost her parents, she found herself navigating not only grief, but the overwhelming task of sorting through a lifetime of belongings. She could not have managed it without help from friends and family. 

Drawing on her Swedish heritage and a love of organization, Claire was naturally drawn to the philosophy of döstädning — Swedish death cleaning. What began as guiding close friends through their own seasons of loss blossomed into a true calling, one rooted in compassion, patience, and deep respect for the stories that our belongings hold.

Claire believes that objects can hold special memories, and every person deserves to move through this process at their own pace, with someone steady and empathetic by their side. Whether you are preparing for a life transition, supporting a loved one, or simply longing for a home that feels lighter and more intentional, Claire brings both her organizational expertise and her open heart to meet you exactly where you are.
