Dödstädning is the practice of decluttering and simplifying your belongings, so loved ones are not left to sort through everything after you are gone. Despite its somewhat gloomy moniker, death cleaning can be very freeing and adds to life’s enjoyment.

Each person has different needs and I will customize my services to meet you where you are. If you need time to reflect on the memories an item recalls, we can take the time to do so. If you prefer to have a non-sentimental area (like a pantry) cleared out quickly, I can work efficiently as well.

While I am not a counselor or therapist, I am a good listener and I want you to feel supported on this journey. I also want to coach you on the skills to continue the work we do in decluttering and organizing. Maybe you have a big project, but you only need me to help get you started. Maybe you just want to outsource the entire project because you do not have the time to do it yourself. Either way, I am here to help.

If the waste generated exceeds the capacity of your curbside garbage and recycling, we may need to schedule a special pick up with your waste management company, or hire a third party to haul away excess.
After each session, I will take one trunk load of donations to a local charity such a Goodwill. For furniture and larger loads, I will help arrange for pick up.
If you have items that you want donated to a particular school/charity/museum/etc, I can help you facilitate that as well.

Taking before and after photos is part of my process. This helps both of us reference how much we have achieved, and allows me to measure and plan organizing solutions for your space.
I will ask for your permission before sharing any photos in my marketing materials. If you do not want your photos used in promotional materials, they remain a confidential part of my records.
